Directions
Khichra or Khichda (Urdu: کھچڑا) is a variation of the dish Haleem, popular with Muslims of the Indian subcontinent. It is made up of goat meat, beef, lentils and spices, slowly cooked to a thick paste. It is the meat based variant of rice dish from the Indian subcontinent called Khichdi. In Pakistan, beef Haleem and Khichra is sold as street food in most cities throughout the year.

Soak 2 cup broken wheat in a bowl for few hours. In another bowl wash and soak toor dal, chana dal,urad dal, yellow moong dal and soak for few hours. |

In a pressure cooker heat oil and put onion n fry for some time. Once onion turns golden add mutton or chiken and fry for sometime. Now add salt, ginger paste ,garlic paste, green chilli paste, tomatoes, turmeric powder add water and cook till mutton /chicken is tender. |

In another cooker put soaked wheat, 4 cup water and 1 tbsp oil, salt and pressure cook till wheat is fully cooked. Now blend the wheat a liitle bit with a hand blender. Don't blend completely. |

In a cooker add all daals, 1.5cup water and salt and pressure cook till daals are cooked completely. |

In a grinder jar grind fennel seed, cinnamon sticks n cloves. Don't grind completely. Make coarse powder. |

Take a big vessel and pour blended wheat, cooked mutton/chicken and cooked daals. |

Now heat charcoal and place it in the middle and pour 1 tsp of ghee and cover the lid for sometime. |
