500 grams Potatoes
1 cup Tamarind
1.5 cup Jagerry
1 tbsp Peprika powder
1 tsp Cumin powder
1 tsp Ginger powder
1 tsp Chat Masala
As per taste Salt
2 tsp Chilli powder

Tamarind Potato Recipe is a tasty appetizer that can be served before a weekend evening . The potato is given a spicy and tangy taste which is delicious. These Tamarimd potatoes will be a hit at your table and everyone would enjoy it.

For Sweet Tamarind Chutney

In a vessel put Tamarimd , jaggery , peprika powder ,cumin powder, Salt, ginger powder, add Little water and soak it for few hours or just give it a boil. Grind to a thick paste and then stain. Mix 1 tsp chat masala and then cook the chutney for 5 mins this will give it a nice shine store in glass jars ( this quantity lasts a few months in the fridge ) can be used for all kinds of chats , even for pani puri just dilute with water and add pani puri masala.

Potatoes

Boil 500 gm potatoes with 1 tbsp salt and peel . Cut into pcs and keep aside. ( adding salt is really important as the potatoes absorb it in boiling . If u don't add it will not taste that good) .
Make sure to cool your potatoes before making the masala otherwise hot potatoes will break on mixing.

For Masala

In a kadhai heat oil , put curry leaves , and toss the potatoes . Add 6 tbsp of sweet Tamarind chutney of we made ( I always make and Stock for making these aaloo , for chaat etc) . Add 2 tsp red chilli powder and little salt . Mix well and lastly add chopped coriander.
