Adjust Servings:
8 Mackerel fiah
0.75 tsp Turmeric powder
10 Dry red chillies
1 tbsp Coriander seeds
0.5 tsp Cumin seeds
0.25 tsp Carom seeds
0.5 tsp Black pepper porns
As per taste Salt
4 tbsp Lemon juice
1 Onion
10 cloves Garlic
2.5 tbsp Oil for Frying

Tangy Masala Mackerel Fish Fry

Restaurant style tawa fish fry is an easy and crispy fry, which you can make as a quick and healthy shallow tawa fry.

Fish can be flavored and cooked in many ways and the use of Indian spices makes them even more tasty. This is a very simple and easy fish fry recipe and if you are fond of seafood or fish, I am sure you are going to enjoy this fish fry recipe.



Marination of fish

Clean,wash and make gashes on 8 medium sized mackerel fish.Add ¾ tsp of salt and ½ tsp of turmeric powder and coat it well to the fish. Keep it aside.


Making of Masala

Soak dry red chillies in hot water for 20 minutes. Take soaked byadgi chillies and add it to the grinding jar. Also add 1 tbsp of coriander seeds,1/2 tsp of cumin seeds,1/4 tsp of carom seeds,1/2 tsp of black pepper corns,1/2 tsp of salt and 4 tbsp of lime juice.Grind all the ingredients together into a fine paste without adding water.


Next to the same masala add 2 medium sized onions,10 garlic cloves and an inch size of ginger.Also add ¼ tsp of turmeric powder and grind again into very fine masala.
Add the prepared masala to fish and coat the fish with masala.Coat it well and keep aside for marination for 20 minutes.


After 20 minutes of marinating the fish heat 4 to 5 tsp of oil in a frying pan and place the marinated fish on pan.Do not overcrowd the pan with all the fish at once.Fry in batches.
Fry them well on each side for about 3 to 4 minutes on medium flame and spicy and tangy bangude masala fry would be ready to serve.
