Ingredients

1.5 cups Chana Dal soaked
1 large Onion chopped
1 large Tomoto chopped
3 tsp Red chilli powder
2 tsp Coriander powder
0.5 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Garam masala
2 Green chilies
For Tadka
0.25 cup Oil
10 Curry leaves
0.5 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
1 tbsp Coriander leaves

Chana Dal is a popular Indian delicacy, which is prepared with some easily available ingredients and makes for a perfect main-course dish. Chana Dal is undoubtedly one of the most delicious pulses and makes for a perfect dish for every occasion.

Gravy

In pot,add oil then cumin seeds and mix. Add onion and fry until light golden. Add tomato and mix well. Add red chili powder,salt,coriander powder,turmeric powder and mix well. Add green chilies and mix well,cover and cook on low flame until tomatoes are soft. Add split bengal gram and mix well. Add water,mix well and cook Add garam masala powder,cover and cook on low flame for 8-10 minutes then mix well & set aside.

For Tadka

In small frying pan,add oil and heat it,add curry leaves and mix. Turn off the flame,add Kashmiri red chili powder and mix well. Add tadka on cooked split Bengal gram. Add fresh coriander and serve.
